Under the terms of the agreement, TCL will have the right to use the logo of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on its home appliance products including TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, etc.
The agreement also grants TCL the Presenting Sponsorship rights for the Asian Qualifiers’ remaining four windows (June-July, September and November 2018; February 2019) for next year’s World Cup, as well as key commercial rights at FIBA’s flagship competition as well as sponsor the International Basketball Federation Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018.
TCL’s other global basketball partners include NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx and the Philippine Basketball Association (The Philippines). The company also works with other sports partners including soccer team San Jose Earthquakes, Brazilian Football Confederation (Brazil), Rosario Central Football Club (Argentina), The Melbourne Cup and Melbourne Victory Football Club (Australia), as well as entertainment industry partners including the Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre, The Ellen Show, and the popular Warner Bros.
